IEP Coordinator
District wide position
Applicants must be familiar with required Maine State Special Education regulations associated with case management and provision of Special Education Services.
Candidate will hold appropriate certification or licensure defined by the Maine Department of Education and CHRC. (030, 035 or 282 with a mater’s degree and/or 3 years of special education teaching experience).
Applicants will facilitate IEP meetings and assist with special education paperwork. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Provide guidance and assistance for SPED staff for compliance with special education paperwork
- Complete student observations
- Manage and monitor due dates for IEP and written notice compliance
- Monitor IEPs for correct formats, goals, services, progress reporting and goal process
Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential to this job. The candidate will be communicating and collaborating with colleagues, administrators, parents, students, and community members. The candidate must be able to demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and optimism as an educator, leader, and learner.
